Stefanov Capital has appointed Sydney Atkins as Partner and Chief Investment Officer, the firm announced, adding a veteran capital markets executive to its leadership team as it expands its focus on broadband and digital infrastructure.
Atkins brings more than a decade of experience in complex capital strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising across the broadband, technology, and capital markets sectors.
Prior to joining Stefanov Capital, Atkins served as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Mac Mountain LLC and Boston Omaha Asset Management (NYSE: BOC).
She also served as Lead Independent Director of Yellowstone Acquisition Company (NYSE: YSAC) and Head of Private Wealth Management at Ellevest. She began her finance career at Goldman Sachs.
Atkins holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a degree in Neuroscience and Studio Art from Middlebury College in Vermont, where she was a two-time NCAA championship lacrosse and field hockey player.
Outside of finance, Atkins is the founder and general partner of Rudder Capital. She and her wife, Caroline, co-own The Mountain Inn and Killington Distillery in Killington, Vt. She serves on the boards of Shore Country Day School, the Peabody Essex Museum, and her family’s business, Fred J. Dion Yacht Yard.
