Born from a transaction across the M&A aisle, Stefanov Capital was founded on firsthand experience navigating the realities of ISP mergers and acquisitions.
The firm began when Joey Miniard, an experienced ISP operator and CFO, met Micky Stefanov, who was advising the sale of Joey’s company. Working from opposite sides of a complex transaction, they discovered a shared belief: that Internet Service Providers and telecom operators deserve advisors who combine deep operational expertise, financial rigor, and genuine care for client outcomes.
Today, Stefanov Capital is a specialized telecommunications and ISP M&A advisory firm, supporting broadband, wireless, and infrastructure businesses across the full transaction lifecycle. We combine operational expertise, financial acumen, and strategic insight to guide founders and leadership teams through growth planning, valuation, capital strategy, and successful exits.
Micky Stefanov

With an eye and passion for growth, Micky Stefanov founded Stefanov Capital, LLC to provide comprehensive consulting and growth solutions for businesses of all sizes within the telecommunications industry.
Micky’s experience spans a decade in mergers and acquisitions. As SVP of M&A at ISP Advisor he secured nearly $1B in commitments from qualified buyers and $225M in exclusive sellers’ contracts in twelve months (now ISP Advisor).
With over $1 billion in deals closed and added experience as a valuation specialist, Micky has the knowledge to walk clients through every step of the transaction process, with a focus on clear communication and maximum results throughout.
As the founder and CEO, Micky is proud to lead the dedicated and knowledgeable Stefanov team to building a bigger future for every client.
Joey Miniard
Co-Founder & CFO
Joey Miniard has been shepherding growth within the wireless telecommunications industry for over 15 years.
During his tenure as Chief Financial Officer at QX.net, a central Kentucky-based wireless telecommunications company, Joey identified and executed a strategy which resulted in 50% topline growth-and five times net income growth- over five years.
From generating and analyzing financial modeling to guiding companies through state and federal audits, Joey is well-versed in all aspects of telecommunications-specific financial operations.
Joey holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Kentucky.
Jeffrey Stefanov
COO
With a customer first approach, Jeffrey is passionate about driving operational efficiencies to create exceptional experiences for every client relationship built at Stefanov Capital.
Before joining Stefanov Capital, Jeffrey was head of global operations for seller experience & technology at PayPal, where he spearheaded initiatives to transform sales-impacting processes, shape company-wide sales strategies, and implement innovative technologies. His background spans more than a decade in operations leadership, complemented by additional experience in consulting and sales.
Jeffrey is passionate about understanding client needs at a deep level and delivering scalable solutions that enhance customer experience and operational performance. His focus is on building efficient, resilient systems tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Sydney Atkins
CIO
With over a decade of leadership experience, Sydney has led companies across broadband and technology through complex capital strategies, M&A, and fundraising.
Previously, she was Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Boston Omaha Asset Management (NYSE: BOC) and held senior roles at Mac Mountain, Yellowstone Acquisition Company (NYSE: SKYH), and Ellevest.
A former Goldman Sachs Advisor and MIT Sloan MBA, Sydney also co-owns the Killington Distillery and serves on several nonprofit and family business boards.
Sydney is the Founder and GP of Rudder Capital and Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Stefanov Capital.
Landon Morrison
Marketing Director
Landon brings a unique blend of design, technology, and marketing expertise to Stefanov Capital, with specialized training in entrepreneurship and emerging technology.
He holds a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Emerging Technology in Business & Design from Miami University.
His professional experience includes roles with the U.S. State Department as a graphic design intern, marketing consultant to Lyceum AI, and business architecture intern at Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG).
Landon’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his professional work. At Miami University Landon co-chaired his class gift campaign, raising over $8,000 with his leadership and creation of the digital fundraising campaign.
Steve John
Senior Advisor & Head of FTTP Consulting
An accomplished executive with over 40 years in the wireless and cable industries, Steve has a proven record as a board member, investor, and advisor driving growth, turnarounds, and successful exits.
He founded and led American Broadband/UNSI, scaling it to $70M in revenue and earning four placements on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies list before its sale to GTT.
Previously, he helped define and launch Charter Communications business services division and has raised more than $250M in capital across multiple ventures.
In addition to his role at Stefanov Capital, Steve sits on the advisory board of Xnet and Connectbase.
